Technical analysis
Benin is a poor country where 51.6% of the population lives on less than $1 a day. At the national level, only 56.4% of the population has access to drinking water and 35.4% to sanitation. Access to drinking water is fundamental to improving the health of the country’s communities.
The Veoliaforce teams went into Benin in April 2014, in support of the NGO Graind, in order to carry out a technical analysis and improve the pumping systems in a semi-rural environment in the town of Allada in the south of the country.
