Veoliaforce Deployment in Mayotte

After the passage of Cyclone Chido in Mayotte, the Veolia Foundation is mobilizing for the Mahorais with the sending of material and human resources to support the production of drinking water.

The Veolia Foundation expresses its solidarity and comes to the aid of the Mahorais who are facing the disastrous consequences of Cyclone Chido, which occurred on December 14.

The Foundation is mobilizing by sending water purification solutions with the French Red Cross and its Indian Ocean Regional Intervention Platform (PIROI), and by a diagnostic mission and assistance to the most vulnerable populations with the NGO Solidarités International.

As of this Friday, the Veolia Foundation is mobilizing two volunteer water treatment experts, as part of the Veoliaforce skills sponsorship program, to support authorities and humanitarian organizations on the ground.

The first hours of the Veoliaforce volunteers on the ground will be dedicated to the recognition of sites to prepare the deployment of mobile water purification stations.

These treatment stations, called "Aquaforce", were pre-positioned in early December in La Réunion and will be transferred to Mayotte. Robust and tried and tested, these field solutions enable us to adapt to changing conditions and population needs.

The Veolia Foundation wishes to salute the commitment of all the Veolia group's employees who have volunteered to help the Mahorais.
